The city is quite small, basically most of the sight seeing spots are not far from each other. Walking is slightly tiring, but you can grab a map and navigate the city conveniently. Almost every 100m a motorbike taxi driver would stop by offering service. The Cu Chi tunnels, which located 40km to the northwest of Saigon, impressed me much. The tunnels began in 1948, developed in response to a number of different circumstances, most importantly the military tactics of the French and U.S.By 1965, there were over 200km of connected tunnel. As the tunnel system grew, so did its complexity. This link provides good source of info. Caodaism, is an unique, only seen in Vietnam, was founded in Saigon in 1925 by the mystic Ngo Van Chieu. His intention was to combine the faiths of all Vitenamese under one supreme being.
