Starting life in 1348 as a hideaway for the crown jewels and the treasury of the Holy Roman Emperor, later sheltered the Bohemian and Imperial crown jewels during the Hussite War. The castle is small, can only be visited with guide. I didn't like the huge tourist crowd and always in rush from one room to the other, and no photographing is allowed. It was highly recommended by the tourism office, but this is definitely not on my "must-see" list.
